I currently am using a Mac book Pro and HP 8620 printer. Prior to updates last year, I was able to print, save, etc anything I wanted on Word 2016. After the update last year, I was not able to print old saved files, took for ever to do anything, etc. Then my husband and I figured out fixes and was able to get my printing done.
Then more updates and I was able to print old saved files, does not take forever to do anything. The problem I am having now is printing envelopes. I go and set up the envelope, at first the preview would not show the one I had set up and it would not print.
Then another update and that was fixed (so I thought) but still not able to print. I have tried going through 'mail merge' and 'envelopes' and using both still will not allow me to print envelopes. If it does print, it changes the orientation and font. Otherwise it just keeps saying my 'printer cannot print that size paper'.
I have checked several times that both devices are completely updated. I send over 300 letters a month and must have this fixed.

On occasion, The printer might misfire and an error will be created. That usually puts the printer in Pause Mode. You have to remove the job from the queue then get the printer out of pause. Thank you Philip but we have tried that. We also have tried every other 'fix' that is listed when searching for an answer to this problem. Still not able to print envelopes through Word 2016.
My husband tried to print on his Mac and it does the same thing to him. The strange thing is, even though I do not save any of the unworking envelopes. When I open word and try to do a fresh envelope, the previous attempted settings are what comes up. I was finally able to print what I needed through Pages. If I am unable to get things working in Word 2016 I guess I will have to change everything to Pages. As stated in my original question. I am using Word 16.15 for Mac and HP 8620 printer.
Both items are 'updated'. I have no issue printing envelopes #10 now or my letter. It is when I change the envelope to a different size. A smaller size 6 3/4, that is when I run into my problems. I used to be able to change between several envelope sizes with no issues.
